In 1972, Chef Carlo Mori, like most great culinary creators, got his start at the early age of 14 and worked at various chains during his early years gaining knowledge and experience of fast paced kitchen concepts. By the time he was 20 he was offered the position as the kitchen manager at the famous Mr. GreenJeans located in the Eaton Center downtown Toronto. With a staff of 50 and annual sales of $5,000,000 Chef Carlo Mori was making his mark on the food service industry! In 1985, along came the opportunity to grow a concept that had one of the most famous names in Canada, Mr. Don Cherry as its namesake! Chef Carlo Mori saw great potential in the new restaurant concept and felt that the time was right to apply his vast knowledge and skills on a national level. He has been with the company since its inception carving and creating the menu offerings you enjoy today. As the Don Cherry’s Sports Grill Corporate Chef he oversees all negotiations for food service contracts for the chain as a whole, as well as restaurant openings, menu development and acts as a liaison for our licensees. He is a well respected part of our organization and he is a very valuable resource for all our licensees. |
